Local Rules
Play shall be under the rules of the royal Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrewsand the United States Golf Association, subject to the following local rules:
COMPULSARY DROP : Should a Camelthorn tree, under one club length in height, be in danger of being damaged by a player’s swing or stance, the ball must be lifted and dropped within one club length of the nearest point of relief but not nearer to the hole. |
CAMELTHORN PODS : Camelthorn pods in bunkers may be removed without penalty. |
OUT OF BOUNDS : All boundary fences as well as the wooden poles adjacent to holes 2,3,4,7 & 11. |
HAZARDS: All bunkers. The ponds on holes 6,9 & 18 are water hazards . |
ROADS, VEHICLE AND CART TRACKS : A ball coming to rest in such a track may be lifted and dropped within one club length of the nearest point of relief but not nearer to the hole. |
